The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has now issued a directive to its MLAs and MLCs to donate Rs 10,000 in the party fund every month.
According to the information, the party has issued a directive to its 75 MLAs and 10 MLCs to donate Rs 10,000 per month towards the party fund. Insiders in RJD have disclosed that many MLAs and MLCs have started depositing this amount.
Sources in RJD said earlier the party had issued a directive to all MLAs and MLCs to donate Rs 25,000 per month but they vehemently opposed it after which this amount has been reduced to Rs 10,000 per month.
Former MLAs and MLCs have also not been spared from donating towards party funds. Former RJD MLAs and MLCs have been directed to deposit Rs 4,000 towards party funds every month.
Meanwhile, Janata Dal-United spokesperson Ajay Alok attacked RJD over this new diktat. In a veiled attack on RJD chief Tejaswi Yadav, Ajay Alok tweeted “Give money for the ticket first, after winning, give a commission from salary, if lost election, give a commission in pension, what do you eat? There is a limit to hunger..he has left Lalu Prasad behind…he is the demonic devotee of Kubera.”
